Give some “A-more” love! – Sponsor the Amur Leopard Today!
With deer populations declining and habitat disruptions, Amur leopards teeter on the brink of extinction. They are the most endangered of all big cats, with only about 30 remaining in the wild. But hope remains: recent public campaigns have saved their last refuge, and some old habitat may be restored. With the opening of Russia’s Grizzly Coast, the Minnesota Zoo has taken a leadership role in Amur leopard conservation. We manage the Amur Leopard Species Survival Plan, through which zoos throughout North America work together to maintain a healthy, genetically-diverse captive population. We are also a partner in the Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance. Your gift will help us provide the best possible care for our leopards and for all of the animals at the Minnesota Zoo, while also continuing our conservation efforts both here at home and around the world.
